Fix your resume with Claude in 3 prompts (audit → rewrite → match)

100 generic applications get about 2 responses. 20 targeted ones get 8–10. These three prompts are the whole difference. Run them in order.

Step 1 — Audit it like a recruiter

Act as a senior recruiter at a top tech company
with 10+ years of hiring experience.

Here is my resume:

Here is the job description I am applying for:
[PASTE JOB DESCRIPTION]

Do the following:
1. Score my resume out of 100 for this specific role
2. List the top 5 missing keywords that the ATS will flag
3. List the top 3 red flags a hiring manager will notice
4. Tell me what is strong about my resume

Step 2 — Rewrite in Google’s XYZ format

Every bullet becomes “Accomplished [X], as measured by [Y], by doing [Z].”

Rewrite my resume experience section using Google's
XYZ format for every bullet point.

Rules:
- Use these keywords: [PASTE KEYWORDS FROM STEP 1]
- Fix these red flags: [PASTE RED FLAGS FROM STEP 1]
- Every bullet needs a number, percentage, or measurable outcome
- Remove "worked on" and "responsible for"
- Keep each bullet under 2 lines

Step 3 — Find the jobs it actually matches

In Claude Cowork, connect the LinkedIn MCP connector, give it your fixed resume, then:

I am a [TITLE] with [X years] in [SKILLS].
Here is my resume: [PASTE FIXED RESUME]

1. Search LinkedIn for the top 20 open jobs matching my profile
2. Score each one out of 100 for how strong my match is
3. Rank them highest to lowest
4. For my top 5: write a tailored version of my resume for each
